The Band Boosters and the band members...
conduct several fund raising activities during the school year to
help support the band program. The profits from some of these
fund-raisers are for the good of the whole band (Band Booster
operating expenses) and are used to buy band equipment,
music and supplies. Some of the fund-raisers allow band
members to earn "credits" in their student accounts to defray
costs in participating in the Patriot Band. Although the Boosters have successfully lobbied
the School Board for operating funds in the past, sometimes these funds do not meet all the
needs of the band. Therefore, the Band Boosters help to pay these additional costs by
raising money through fundraising activities and donations. (As a recognized tax exempt
organization, 501(c)(3), by the Internal Revenue Service, all donations to the Band are tax
deductible. All monies go towards supporting the band).

Fruit sales this year will commence around mid-October and end around mid-November.
Items for sale include tangelos, grapefruit, navels, hamlins, and apples. Bushel sizes will
range from 2/5 bushel to 4/5 bushel. Deliveries will be made around mid-December. As in
the past, all fruit is guaranteed and will be replaced or money refunded at the customer's
request.
Civic Center Concessions - Band students who are 18 years of age, or their parents, are
permitted to work the concession stands at the Civic Center for hockey games and other
events. Students 16 years of age and above are permitted to work during various events.
Parents and students are given an opportunity to sign up to work at the beginning of the
year. All earnings are divided equally among those working each event. All profits from this
fund raiser go to the band member as a "credit". A typical evening starts at 5:30 pm and
lasts until 10:30 PM. Parents or students interested in working future events at the Civic
Center should contact the Ways & Means Chairperson who coordinates the work schedules.
Band Merchandise - Now is the time to purchase your band merchandise. We have
embroidered golf shirts, screen print t-shirts, embroidered baseball caps. Contact the
Booster President or any Member of the Board for ordering information.
