Congratulations tot he following band students who were selected through audition for the regional band that performed Feb 3-4 at Blackburg High School Stephanie House-Niamke-Clarinet, Concert band. Each year the "John Philip Sousa" award is given to a band senior that best exemplifies the goals and standards of the program. For the Class of 2006, the top band award goes to Jimmy Gilmore. Mr. and Mrs. Arley Miller present a memorial scholarship each year to an outstanding senior in the band in memory of their son, Chris. For 2006, The Miller scholarship was presented to Scott Arbogast. The band boosters award the WILLIAM P. CARR SCHOLARSHIP to a senior accepted to a music program as a music major. This year the band will present $250 scholorship to Jessica Hannon who will be attending BYU.
